Located in Umbria, on Lake Trasimeno, Bellaria House is the quintessential vision of the Italian countryside dream home. An endeavour of luxury real estate company Special Umbria, the property was restructured in 2016 and is now available as a holiday villa for rent.

The brick-and-stone facade of the Bellaria grants a rustic aesthetic that complements its lush green surroundings. Throughout the five-bedroom estate, each space has been meticulously decorated to evoke a sense of cosy nostalgia. Neutral colours and wood furniture are predominant throughout the house, accented by floods of natural light and quirky wall art pieces.

Interior designer and Special Umbria founder Rob Landeweerd used a select range of Karman products to illuminate the rooms. Resin Black Out lamps, aptly named for incorporating a candle receptacle in its design, are used as both a floor-standing model in the great hall and as pendants over the outdoor patio table. In the kitchen, bedrooms and along one of the corridors, ceramic Ali & Baba lamps are used to add a hint of fairytale whimsy.

The sum of its simple and elegant parts, the Bellaria’s homely ambience stands out, marking it as a genuine and beautiful holiday residence.
